Artist statement: In this particular painting I am exploring the juxtaposition of paint and collage used figuratively. The entire background of the painting is layered with Simplicity patterns dating back in time. Lady Blue mimics patterns of puppetry and statues from ancient times. As one gazes through the painting the colors blue and gold are used to symbolize peace and joy. Lady Blue provides a tranquil experience inward.
