Artist Statement: Retreat- when I stare at this beautiful mushroom I get lost in all the folds and turns and am amazed at the beauty of nature. When my husband was the chef/owner at The Conserva he would get the most unusual mushrooms from a local grower. I just happened to be in the restaurant shooting food that day when this beauty came in.
