We are proud to team up with Becky Scarcello, metro Detroit arts advocate and event curator, to offer The Stillwater Art Show. “Renew” is the second in a series of seasonal events and installations dedicated to supporting and sharing the arts here at Stillwater. We look forward to promoting our rich pool of talented local artists to our visitors, guests and friends!​
Selected works will be on display in each of the guest cabins as well as at The Pony Up - our studio space above the barn. All works are for sale.

​Each season, the collection is refreshed when we invite artists to explore a new theme.

General Art Show Requirements

Submission Deadline: April 15, 2023
Show Run: May 1 - August 31, 2023
​
Works submitted for consideration should be:
  • Within the seasonal theme.
  • Prepared for sale with the ability to be hung on a wall, propped on a picture rail, or displayed on an easel.
  • No larger than the maximum size of 48" x 60".
  • 2-dimensional.
  • In any medium, all will be considered.
  • Ready for collection before or on the published deadlines for the display term of approximately 4 months, or until they sells, whichever comes first. 
  • Arranged to be collected and transported by the curator to the property. Artists will also be welcome to deliver their work directly to Stillwater Stables if preferred. 

Other Things to Note:
  • ​​Insurance is optional and provided by the artist
  • ​Artists will set their own price and keep 60% of the proceeds. The selected work may not be priced for sale at any other location or online for a lesser amount. If it sells during the Stillwater show, commission will apply.
  • Guests and visitors at Stillwater Stays will be invited to purchase the art and take it with them at any time.

​No need to create new work for this show; we are interested in pieces from artists' existing bodies of work that fit the theme. ​​Multiple entries welcome.

Promotion includes a feature on our website and social media. Artists with works on display will also be invited to enjoy a complimentary night in one of the cabins at Stillwater Stables.
